Art's Alive!
celebrates 25 years in La Conner, November 6 - 8, 2009. This town-wide
weekend festival features art, music, poetry and food at over 50
galleries, shops, museums and restaurants.
The anchor events are two annual art exhibitions – the Invitational Exhibit,
showcasing over 20 of the Northwest’s finest visual artists working in
media, including bronze sculpture, painting, glass, fiber, and jewelry;
and the Open Show, presenting 75 local artists. Both exhibits are located at Maple Hall, 104 Commercial.
New this year is the Emerging Exhibit,
spotlighting 10 compelling artists working in wood and metal sculpture,
painting, photography, glass, fiber, and jewelry. The Emerging Exhibit is located at Maple Hall, 104 Commercial, and Gallery Cygnus, across the street at 109 Commercial.
The
Friday Night Opening Celebration is November 6th, 5 - 8 PM at Maple
Hall, 104 Commercial. Tickets $5 at the door. All artwork is for sale.
Art's Alive!
features numerous free exhibits and performances throughout the
weekend, and wonderful fare at local restaurants. This annual festival
is a great opportunity to begin your holiday shopping and/or enhance
